Royal Horse Artillery to fire 41-Gun salute for Prince Charles

  • The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery will be firing a 41-Gun Salute on Friday (14 November) to celebrate Prince Charles’s 60th birthday.

The Salute will be fired at 12noon in Hyde Park in London, and the public is invited to attend.

The King’s Troop will leave their St John’s Wood Barracks in column and each of the 6 World War I 13-pounder guns will be drawn by 6 colour-matched horses.

The horses will gallop down Hyde Park before halting and being unhooked. The guns will then fire blank cartridges at 10-second intervals.

And following this, the Gun Salute Salute for the Prince of Wales will become a permanent fixture in the King’s Troop Calendar.
