Riding school branches out into weddings and theatre

  • A Surrey riding school has lately diversified its business to source extra income — providing horses for a wedding and theatre work at Epsom racecourse.

Blue, a 15.2hh gelding from Wildwoods Riding Centre near Tadworth, was used as a mount for an Indian wedding this month, and 17hh bay Barrister was part of a pre-production workshop for Black Beauty at the same course.

Anthea Chambers, who owns Wildwoods, said of 13-year-old Blue: “He was very well behaved despite the racket of the drums.”
