Reading women stole £100K of tack and riding equipment


  • Around £100,000 of tack and riding equipment was stolen from the Reading area by two women.

    Clare Iles of Links Drive, Tilehurst and Kim Tily of East Reading appeared at Reading Crown Court on 29 September, where they admitted a string of thefts from tackrooms.

    Iles, aged 29, admitted eight charges, including burglary, handling stolen goods and theft, between September and December 2009.

    Tily, 44, admitted one count of theft, one of handling stolen goods and a burglary, over the same period.

    Both were released on unconditional bail for sentencing at the same court on 22 October.
