Racehorse on loan to Ascot Colts and Fillies Club

    • Young racegoers can experience the thrill of ownership in a new scheme set up by Ascot racecourse.

    To tie in with Ascot’s 300th Birthday, trainer Peter Winkworth is lending the racehorse Safari Teamto the Ascot Colts and Fillies Club for the 2011 Flat season.

    Three-year-old Safari Team, by Pleasantly Perfect, raced four times as a two-year-old and was placed fourth and third before winning on the all-weather at Lingfield in September 2010.

    Colts & Fillies Club members will be able to follow his progress from the start of his training programme to the track.

    Anyone under the age of 16 can join Ascot Colts and Fillies Club for free. Every member receives a metal badge, a pair of binoculars and a quarterly newsletter. Current membership stands at 11,500.
