Members of the public are invited to watch the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery in action for free next week in London.
Major General William Cubitt will conduct the annual inspection of the King’s Troop RHA at 11am on Monday, 27 April, in Regents Park.
The King’s Troop will perform their famous Musical Drive, supported by the Band of the Royal Artillery.
Based in St John’s Wood barracks The Kings Troop RHA are responsible for firing Royal and ceremonial salutes. Six horses draw each gun and limber, with the gun detachment riding behind each gun. All the guns were used in the first World War and are over 100 years old.
The Kings Troop RHA can also be seen riding on The Queen’s birthday parade, the state opening of Parliament, state visits and Remembrance Day.
