Four men have been arrested in connection with the alleged brutal killing of a pony on 9 May.
Police have arrested a 30-year-old and a 31-year-old from South Ockendon, Essex, plus two other men on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The alleged attack took place at Kemp Farm, in Stifford Hill, Stifford Clays.
It is thought the Shetland pony was sexually assaulted then hacked to death with a machete.
