Pony Club releases statement over death of Jade South


  • The chairman of the Pony Club, Cherry Michell, has put out a statement regarding the death of a 15-year-old Pony Club members at a rally yesterday, 30 October.

    Jade South, from Linton, Ross-on-Wye, was crushed by her 16hh horse Oz in a rotational fall at a South Herefordshire and Ross Harriers Pony Club Rally, held at Pauntley Court Farm cross country course in Gloucestershire.

    She was wearing a body protector and hat in line with Pony Club rules.

    Ms Michell said: “On behalf of everyone in The Pony Club, I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Jade’s family.

    “The thoughts and prayers of Pony Club Members all over the UK are with the family at this very sad time.”

    She said a full investigation is being carried out into the accident.
