Petplan Equine insurance company have pledged their support to the British equestrian team by sponsoring new supporters’ initiative Team GBR Ontrack.
Ontrack is a free supporters’ club that allows members to follow all equestrian disciplines together, from dressage to reining and horseball.
Members receive regular news updates, blogs, behind-the-scenes gossip, product discounts and priority information about the British teams and events.
Petplan have shown their commitment by giving a donation to Team GBR every time an Ontrack member takes out a new Petplan Equine insurance policy. Although unable to provide a specific figure, Petplan have said it is a “significant” amount.
“We are dedicated to supporting the equestrian world and are delighted to be able to offer our support to the British teams,” said Alison Andrew, marketing manager at Petplan.
“I hope that our involvement will help smooth the path to the podium and demonstrate Britain’s equestrian excellence in all disciplines.”
Ontrack has over 1,000 members since its launch in late 2009 and Anna Greenway of the British Equestrian Federation said:
“We hope that Ontrack will encourage more people into equestrianism and give them an insight into the world of some of our top riders across all the different sports.”
