Patrick, a rescue foal, models on Christmas cards to fund his care

  • A foal that was found deserted on the side of the road, is modelling on the front of Christmas cards to help raise money for his care.

Patrick was dumped on 8 June 2012 in County Durham, when he was less than 24-hours old.

The British Horse Society is now taking care of the foal who has to be bottle fed milk every three hours.

A Just Giving page has also been set up for donations towards Patrick’s expensive care — so far it’s raised over £2,000.

Patrick has “written” his own plea for donations. “I am trying to raise money to fund my milk habit (I figure if I raise enough they will have to keep buying it for me).

“I have been doing lots of modeling (move over Kate and Naomi) and one of the things my picture has been used for is my own Christmas cards.

“If you really want to impress your friends and family this year, you should get some.

“I know I might sound cocky but we have to face facts, I’m gorgeous.”
