Paradressage team chosen for the World Equestrian Games

  • British Dressage has selected the seven riders who will represent Britain at the World Equestrian Games paradressage competition in Kentucky (5-10 October).

Grade Ia riders Anne Dunham, Sophie Christiansen, Emma Sheardown, and grade Ib riders Lee Pearson and Ricky Balshaw, will be joined by grade II Jo Pitt and grade IV Sophie Wells.

    Natasha Baker is non-travelling reserve.

Despite good results at Hartpury CDI last week, grade III former championship riders Debbie Criddle and Simon Laurens have been omitted from the squad this time.

Paradressage is being incorporated into the games for the first time in Kentucky.

Sophie Wells makes this her second championship appearance for Britain in a year, having just left for Germany for the Young Rider Europeans
