Readers, look out. Three forthcoming issues of H&H may be particularly hard to get your hands on… three Olympic medallists are to guest edit Horse & Hound this spring.
Carl Hester, William Fox-Pitt and Nick Skelton have all agreed to guest edit the special issues of the magazine focusing on their disciplines.
H&H editor Lucy Higginson will be standing aside while these riders choose the features, veterinary articles, news stories and more that they want the editorial team to create.
“At Horse & Hound we pride ourselves on being able to bring our readers better equestrian insight, expertise and entertainment than any other brand,” she said.
“What better insight can we offer than by inviting some of the best horsemen the world has ever seen to have a free hand with the editorial, and explore the themes that intrigue them?
“It has been absolutely fascinating to sit and plan these issues with these riders — I know our readers will be equally excited to see the results.”
William Fox-Pitt added: “”I am excited to be given free rein with an issue of Britain’s leading equestrian title, and am looking forward to having some input from the ‘other side'”
>William Fox-Pitt will edit the eventing special, out on 6 March. Carl Hester will edit the dressage special out on 27 March and the showjumping special on 3 April will be edited by Nick Skelton
