Nominate H&H for a 2013 Equestrian Social Media Award

  • Do you enjoy Horse & Hound’s Twitter and Facebook pages, forum, blogs and You Tube channel? If you like what we do in the world of social media, please take a moment to nominate us for the Equestrian Social Media Awards (ESMA).

Nominations for the 2013 awards opened yesterday (10 December) and close at midday on 21 December.

Since it started in 2010, the ESMAs have aimed to connect the global equestrian community and reward those who enrich the online world for equestrians.

“This year builds on much previous success — the 2012 awards reached over 800,000 people,” said a spokesman for ESMA.

“That the equestrian world is incredibly active on social media was especially evident during the London Olympics. A number of horse and rider name combinations trended on Twitter both in their home countries and globally during the events.”

This year Horse & Hound is eligible for the following categories:

    1. Best You Tube channel
    2. Best use of Facebook
    3. Best use of Twitter
    8. Best use of social media by a publication
    13. Most informative use of social media
    17. Best blog (either for an individual blog or for all our blogs)
    18. Best equestrian social network (for the H&H forum)
    23. Best use of social media in the UK & Ireland

“Last year the support of our fabulous social media fans enabled Horse & Hound to win an incredible four awards,” said H&H website editor Carol Phillips. “We would love to retain last year’s awards and gain some extra ones this year, but we can’t manage that without your help. Thank you for your support.”
