Nick Skelton’s Carlo 273 has been sold

  • Nick Skelton’s European bronze medal-winning ride Carlo 273 is on his way to Sergio Alvarez Moya’s Madrid yard.

The 11-year-old grey gelding, who was Nick’s reserve horse for the London 2012 Olympics, was sold to the Spanish rider last week.

Sergio told H&H that he hopes to compete Carlo at the CSIO Barcelona (20-23 September).

“I have a few good horses but none has won as much as Carlo,” said Sergio. “I have admired him for a long time.”
