New para-endurance competition to be held

  • Para riders are being invited to compete at two national endurance rides, as part of a new initiative to encourage disabled people to take up the discipline.

It will be launched at Puddingstone, Suffolk, on 23 September.

Emma Miller of the sport’s governing body, Endurance GB, said there had been interest from the Injured Jockeys Fund and Help for Heroes.

“We aim to have a World Championships,” she said. “The rides will be held in the same way as regular rides, although companion riders will be allowed.”
