BETA International is adding a new category, Country Fashion, to its Innovation Awards at the 2013 trade fair.
It will join seven others: Saddlery & Tack, Rider Clothing, Safety & Security, Feed & Supplements, Horsecare Products & Equipment, Pet Products and Other.
Organisers of the trade fair say they are responding to the growing number of exhibitors in this sector.
“We are tremendously excited about introducing this new category,” said Claire Thomas, commercial manager of BETA International organiser, Equestrian Management Consultants.
“Country fashions are an increasingly popular part of the trade fair mix and it seems highly appropriate that we should include them in the Innovation Awards, which are regarded as a high point of the equestrian trade’s year,” she added.
The awards are open to any exhibitor who wishes to enter a product, provided that it has been introduced to the market no more than 12 months preceding the show and it features “truly original elements or a breakthrough in research and development – or is a completely new innovation”.
Judging will take place on Sunday 17 February, 2013 – the first day of BETA International 2013. The show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 17 to 19 February.
