Man who tried to ‘feed sausage rolls to police horses’ will face trial

  • A 41-year-old man who allegedly tried to ‘feed sausage rolls to police horses’ is to face trial.

Francis Kelly was arrested after the incident, which is said to have taken place on Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow, on 26 September.

Mr Kelly, of Govanhill, allegedly “adopted an aggressive stance” and behaved in a “threathening or abusive manner” — he denies the charges against him.

Local press report that he offered the horses the spiced pork pastry snack because they “looked hungry”.

He will now face a breach of the peace charge over the alleged claims. The trial will take place in February 2013 in a Scottish Court.
