THE second phase of the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) comes in on Monday (7 July), meaning all horse lorries weighing more than 3.5 tonnes must conform to pollution standards or pay a daily charge of £200 to drive in the capital.
The LEZ covers most of Greater London and requires lorries to conform to Euro III standards for particulate matter (news, 31 January)
Lorries manufactured after 1 October 2001 are not affected as they are deemed to be Euro III compliant.
