London’s Low Emission Zone: Not all venues within the M25 are affected

  • Concerns have been raised by equestrian centres within the M25, but not affected by London’s new Low Emission Zone (LEZ), that potential clients think they now have to pay £200 to attend their events in horse boxes which do not conform to the capital’s new legislation.

The LEZ commenced on 4 February and yesterday Patchetts and today Vicarage Farm, based in Sunbury-on-Thames, have been inundated with calls from worried clients, despite not being within the LEZ.

However the low emission area does not cover all the area within the M25 — it covers the area of the Greater London Council within the M25.

To check if a venue is within the LEZ give them a ring or log on to https://lezlondon.tfl.gov.uk/lez/zone/default.aspx and insert the venue’s postcode.
