The 100-mile Golden Horseshoe Ride (13-15 May) has drawn one of the largest entries for years.
At least 16 horses and riders will contest the two-day endurance competition which will start and finish at a new venue in Exford and will cover private, National Trust and Exmoor Park land.
This year the event will also run a 50-mile ride for the first time. The new Exmoor Experience is designed to give riders a less demanding taste of a two-day ride and has attracted 37 entrants.
Organiser Barbara Wigley said: Interest this year has been magnificent. We are delighted at the number of riders in the 100-mile class, but the response to the new Exmoor Experience class is really encouraging.
A 15-mile sponsored ride will take place on Sunday 13 May in aid of local charity, the Moorland Mousie Trust.
