iPhone ‘app’ puts traders in palm of customer’s hand

  • The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) has created an iPhone application to enable the public to find BETA retailers and members, anywhere in the UK.

BETA says the “app” may be useful away from home or at a show when an urgent tack replacement or service is needed.

The free download allows users to input their postcode or position and be linked to websites and contact details for stores or services like saddle fitting, bitting or advice on worming.

“The application is a tremendous way of further promoting BETA retail members, a great help to the consumer and an addition to member benefits,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams.

To download the “app”, go to the iTunes Store and search for BETA Directory
