Horsebox worth £80,000 stolen from stud in Hampshire

  • A horsebox worth more than £80,000 has been stolen from a farm in Hampshire.

The 2005 silver Scania horsebox — made by Whittaker — was taken from Wangfield Stud Farm in Curdridge near Southampton overnight between 17 and 18 April.

The six-horse lorry has unique electric blue suede seats in the cab, birch flooring throughout, a double bed and WC. It also carries the Wangfield Stud Farm and farriery logo.

Someone will have seen it,” said a spokesman for the ACPO Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (AVCIS), which has issued a country-wide alert for the lorry.

A vehicle like that doesn’t disappear, it’s either laid up somewhere or making its way out of the country.”

If you have any information, contact AVCIS on 02476 826123 quoting crime reference 44100156065.
