Horse show cancellations

  • The Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show is the latest event to succumb to the elements.

The show was due to be held from 20-22 July at Salesbury, near Ribchester, but has been cancelled because the showground may become waterlogged. The show had hoped to be able to stage the show jumping classes but “relentless rain” has prevented this, according to the show’s spokesperson.

In other weather news, the North of England Summer Pony Show will go ahead at Osbaldeston on 14 and 15 July with restricted classes, but all the HOYS qualifiers will take place. For more details, visit www.northofenglandshows.co.uk
