Horse & Hound has won the award for “most informative social media service” in the Equestrian Social Media Awards (ESMAs) for the second year running.
The award was announced today (Tuesday 6 March), following the news that H&H had won the ESMA for “best equestrian social network” for our forum yesterday (Monday 5 March).
The judges said of H&H: “A really good page that everyone can refer to, to keep up-to-date with horsey news.”
Winners of the awards, which were set up in 2010 to bring horse lovers around the world together, will be announced throughout this week.
H&H website editor Carol Phillips said: “We are absolutely delighted to have retained the ‘most informative social media service’ award for a second year in the row. We pride ourselves on keeping our readers up to date with the information they want and need to know.”
Horse & Country TV won the award for “best use of Twitter” and “broadcast media” and World Horse Welfare won “best use of social media by a charity”. “Best use of social media in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia” went to Horse World Magazine forum and the “best use of social media in North Africa and Middle East” went to the Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals.
