Horse expected to survive after being shot in head


  • A horse that was shot in the head in the USA is expected to make a recovery.

    The three-year-old mare suffered brain swelling and lost some motor skills after being shot on Sunday (13 September) in Hastings, Nebraska.

    Police believe she was shot with a .22 calibre rifle and it is still unknown what damage will be permanent.

    A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and is being held in custody about the incident. A 15-year-old boy was also questioned and released.
