Horse dies after collision with train in Surrey


  • A horse was killed on the railway line just outside Egham, Surrey, in the early hours of Tuesday morning (11 March).

    Local police were alerted at 2.55am as one of two loose horses collided with a train. Damage was done to the front carriage of the train but no one was injured.

    Fire services were called to remove the body from the track and the second horse was recovered, uninjured.

    Police say no further action is being taken.
