Businessmen behind plans for an equine theme park and a service live-streaming action from top horse events have won a case for breach of trust against the boss of Horse & Country TV, Heather Killen.
A judge at the High Court in London ruled on 27 February that Ms Killen should compensate Toby Vintcent and Richard Worrall of Horseworld Ltd and Horseworld UK Ltd for “poaching” broadcast rights to Badminton Horse Trials.
Ms Killen took a leading role in both Horseworld companies before leaving in August 2008.
She took a controlling interest in H&C TV in December of that year.
Ms Killen later dropped a case against Mr Worrall and Mr Vintcent for non-payment of £430,000 expenses and fees.
The amount of compensation she must pay is still to be decided. They declined to comment.
A spokesman for Ms Killen said: “These matters date from July 2006 to August 2008 and are very remote from Ms Killen’s current activities.”
