Greenwich’s leaping horseshoe horses sell for £70,000

  • Two life-size horses made of horseshoes that were a focal point in Greenwich Park have been sold for £70,000.

The leaping horses, which decorated the final fence of the Olympic cross-country course at Greenwich, were sold at Christie’s in London on Tuesday (20 November)

The horses, made by sculptor Tom Hill from Hertfordshire, were constructed entirely from recycled horseshoes. H&H had reported the guide price was £50,000-80,000.
