Get colic advice straight to your phone for free with new app

  • A handy new app has been developed to help owners spot the signs of colic in horses — and to advise on what to do if a case is suspected.

The free app for smartphone users tells owners what to do when their horse is colicky. It advises how to carry out a basic physical exam and what the different signs and behaviours mean.

The app has been developed in conjunction with American vet and colic expert Dr Keith Taraba, who has been trained at one of America’s best-known colic centres.

Get the app from the iTunes store.

H&H advises to always call your vet if a case of colic is suspected.
