Free seminars offer training boost for equine businesses in West Country


  • Equine businesses in Devon and Cornwall are being offered help to improve profitability.

    Two free seminars on how training and development can enhance profitability are taking place on 20 June at Duchy College and 27 June at Gypsy Hill Hotel, Exeter.

    The seminars are being organised by Train to Gain in partnership with LANTRA, the government agency supporting training in the environmental and land-based sector.

    An update on key issues in the sector will be on offer. Advice on new ways of increasing business and attracting new customers as well as ways for participants to plan their operations will also be available.

    Train to Gain broker Alison Cox said: “We are holding this seminar for a specific sector so that we can give specialist advice and focus on the issues people working in the industry face.”

    The event is free of charge. Places, which are limited to one per company, will be available on a first come first served basis.
