Former event rider Claire Lomas has a baby

    • Former 4-star event rider Claire Lomas has given birth to a baby girl called Maisie.

    She was born on Thursday 17 February and weighed 6lbs 3oz.

    “I have had a beautiful little girl,” Claire told H&H. “I’m so lucky, she is just perfect.”

    Maisie is Claire and husband Dan’s first child and she was born in Queen’s Medical, Nottingham.

    Claire, who suffered serious spinal cord injury in a freak fall at Osberton Horse Trials in May 2007, is still undergoing rehab from that accident but is determined to walk again.
