As US reality TV fans settle down to a new fashion series set within the horse industry, might an English equestrian reality show pop up to rival The Only Way is Essex and Made in Chelsea?
Glasscock: the Ladies of the Horse World, set in Kentucky, is due to start filming this week, coinciding with the Kentucky Derby (3 May). The producers have promised that “personalities from all disciplines of the equestrian industry” are starring, within their private homes and estates.
So how would it fit in Britain? H&H predicts it would be set in Berkshire, focusing on designer hats, the glamour of Royal Ascot and summer polo — with showing and showjumping from Royal Windsor in the melting pot.
