Fetlock boot launched to comply with British Showjumping’s rule changes

  • A fetlock boot has been launched to comply with British Showjumping’s (BS) rule changes regarding horse boots.

Kentucky Young Horse Fetlock Boots are designed for horses competing in classes where the new rules, introduced in April, apply.

These include Talent Seekers, Newcomers second rounds, Foxhunters second rounds and all age classes at the British Young Horse Championships at Addington (16-19 August).

The rule change incorporates a number of specifications that require the boot to fit within a certain weight, length and feature non-elastic Velcro fastenings among other aspects.

“To ensure your horses’ protective leg-wear fits the bill, the Kentucky Young Horse Fetlock Boots are the ideal choice,” said a spokesman for the company.

The boots are anatomically shaped to offer a stable and comfortable fit. The PU shell protects the fetlock area and the neoprene lining adds comfort.

The PVC leather outer is hardwearing and easy to clean and the generous Velcro straps ensure a secure fit.

The boots cost £29 and come in black in one size.
