Farewell to…former British four-in-hand gold medallist Jack Collinson

  • Former British four-in-hand gold medallist Jack Collinson died on 11 January aged 83.

Jack was a founder member of the British Horse Driving Trials Association.

With George Bowman and Col John Miller, he formed the British team who won gold at the 1974 World Four-in-Hand Championships in Switzerland.

Before driving trials were held in the UK, Jack and George went to shows all over the north-west, mostly driving multiples, and even drove a team of 13 at a local fixture.
