‘England on Horseback’ book available to buy in November

  • England on Horseback, a book that celebrates twelve of England’s best riding routes, will be available to buy next month.

The book, written by Zara Colchester and Charlotte Sainsbury-Plaice, is a narrative of many rides including some in Hardy’s Dorset and the Yorkshire Moors. The journeys include rides along green lanes, bridleways, woods and tracks.

Throughout the book there are illustrated maps of each route to help riders wanting to have a go themselves.

The authors became friends when Zara was interested in buying one of Charlotte’s horses — they have since started taking vistors on stately rides around the Cotswolds.

Tschiffely, author of Tschiffely’s Ride once said: “To see England properly, I recommend viewing it from the saddle.”

England on Horseback is published by clearview and will be available to buy in November for £25. For more information, contact Emma Lacey — emma@clearviewbooks.com.
