Concerns about the environmental impact of the High Speed Two (HS2) rail project have been raised in a new report.
The Commons Environmental Audit Committee is calling for full environmental surveys along the route and ring-fencing of cash to preserve habitats.
The proposed route will severely damage large areas of hunting country and puts at risk numerous equestrian venues.
The Countryside Alliance (CA) has welcomed the suggestions made by the report, but wants to see the project scrapped altogether.
