The Hendelah Waley Equestrian Fund is accepting applications for training grants from people committed to making a career with horses.
The fund was set up more than 20 years ago by Ann and Simon Waley after their daughter Hendelah was tragically killed in an accident.
Funds of £1,750 will be divided between three recipients, and can be used to pay for lessons with a professional or to contribute towards BHS examinations.
The Waleys are looking for people aged 18 or over with exceptional motivation, attitude and aspirations, rather than specific riding talent, who would like to go into teaching, horse welfare or other equestrian careers.
Applicants will undergo assessment at a riding day near Reigate, Surrey on 4 October.
To apply, email Jane Davies on jane@geegeecollectables.com, for an application form. The closing date for applications is 23 September.
