Equestrian art on display for Emile Faurie Foundation

  • An exhibition of equestrian art is taking place in London later this month, to raise money for the Emile Faurie Foundation.

International dressage rider and trainer Emile set up the Emile Faurie Foundation to help fund projects with children — particularly those with behavioural problems.

The exhibition will be open to the public between 10am-5pm daily from Wednesday 27 October to Saturday 30 October.

Artists exhibiting at the galleries include Tim Flach, Ana Healey, Huw Williams and Amy Goodman, and this image (pictured top), One Small Step, by Gloucestershire-based artist Sally Lancaster.

There will also be a signed work of World Championship dressage horse Totilas (pictured), by Sally Martin.

A percentage of sales from the paintings and sculptures exhibited at the Mall Galleries will go towards the foundation.

Emile set up the foundation in 2005 to help disadvantaged children and young people experience the joy and pleasure of riding and caring for horses.

At the time, the dressage rider told H&H: “I was talking to a client who runs a riding school about the difficulties they currently face, and the types of children who had the opportunity to ride.

“Around the same time I saw a television programme about kids being rehabilitated through horses and I thought I had to do something to help.”
