Celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and enjoy a day out at Kirtlington Park Polo Club
Kirtlington Park Polo Club is holding a special “picnic in the park” on Monday 3 June, to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
Visitors can look forward to watching exciting polo action with players from Argentina, Australia and New Zealand, as well as the UK, competing in the finals of the four-goal Sweeney’s tournament and the 10-goal league.
“Monday’s ‘picnic in the park’ is an ideal opportunity for people who have never watched to polo to come along and find out what it’s all about in a relaxed and informal manner,” says Anna Kennedy of Kirtlington Park Polo Club.
The day’s events will include a polo demonstration with commentator, explaining the basic rules of the game for the uninitiated, while food and drink will be available in the newly refurbished pavilion, which includes arestaurant and bar.
“This will be a great day out, whatever the weather, as visitors can watch all the action from inside the pavilion if necessary,” continues Anna. “We hope lots of new faces will come along and find out why polo is suchan entertaining game to watch.”
