The Jockey Club has banned former jump jockey Graham Bradley for eight years for disclosing privileged information
Graham Bradley, the former top jump jockey, has been banned for eight years and fined £2,500 by the disciplinary committee of the Jockey Club.
During an inquiry, which lasted three days, 42-year-old Bradley was questioned about his association with Brian Wright, a man wanted by the police for heading up the biggest cocaine smuggling operation in the world.
Bradley now a successful bloodstock agent, admitted that when he was a licensed jockey he had passed privileged information to Wright and received favours in return.
Bradley, who won the 1985 Cheltenham Gold Cup on Bregawn, said he was “very, very disappointed” with the decision and that he would be appealing against the ban.
The ban as it stands, will prevent Bradley from entering any Jockey Club licensed premises and is scheduled to start on Saturday 7 December.
