If you thought the Olympic action began on Friday, 27 July – think again. Planning a last night out with friends, ahead of three nail-biting weeks in front of the TV? Cancel it!
H&H’s bumper Olympic preview magazine comes out tomorrow (Thursday 19 July) and is unmissable. Including 30 pages of Olympic content, it analyses British contenders, the challenges they face and their main opposition.
It is also packed with features comparing the equestrian events at this Olympics with those of the 1948 London Games; an interview with Ann Moore and Richard Meade 40 years after their medals at Munich; the best equestrian stories from Olympic history; a photoshoot with the owners of Team GBR’s horses, and news, reports, veterinary coverage and more.
“We’ve been planning this issue of the magazine for the best part of a year. It’s been created, polished and handled with immense care – we think it’s a winner,” said H&H Editor Lucy Higginson.
The bumper issue has a special fold-out front cover featuring Britain’s stars.
And the following week’s issue (on sale 26 July) includes a pull-out-and-keep guide to every horse and rider competing, with scoring columns to keep abreast of the action whether you are at home or at Greenwich.
Our Olympic reports will devote 20 pages to EACH discipline, including more photographs, expert commentary and performance analysis than ever before.
In order to report on complete competitions, two Olympic reports magazines will be on sale on a Friday instead of Thursday. The 2012 eventing reports go on sale on 3 August, the following issue is then out on Friday, 10 August, with the final Olympic issue appearing in Thursday, 16 August.
Online, the H&H website has a section devoted to the Games that includes the timetable, news and video features. It will have twice daily updates on the action, plus our popular H&H Live minute-by-minute web feed on key days.
