Pippa Funnell wins Badminton
A foot-perfect performance from Pippa Funnell and Supreme Rock earned them an emphatic Badminton victory.
Their flawless performance which saw them lead from the start, belied the fact that Pippa was nursing ruptured ankle ligaments, disrupting their final two weeks’ preparation, although, as usual, Pippa gave all the credit to her horse.
“I’m speechless – I couldn’t have asked for more,” said Pippa. “Rocky has his problems with show jumping, as we saw in Pau, but he is almost human and he knew how important it was today for me and his owners.”
