Edwina Tops-Alexander retired her great showjumper Cevo Itot Du Chateau in an emotional ceremony in Paris on Sunday, 5 July.
“He always gave me the world of confidence,” said Edwina, who competed the 18-year-old French-bred gelding at two Olympic Games.
“But everything comes to an end and you don’t want to put him in a position where he’s not going to be at his best.
“I wanted him to finish on a good note.“
