Catton Park to host pony champs

  • Catton Park in Derbyshire is to host the second World Combined Pony Championships on 14-17 July 2005. The venue secured the bid over Pratoni del Vivario, the driving and eventing venue for the 1998 Rome World Equestrian Games.

British Horse Driving Trials chairman Tom Pettifer says: “We have spent a lot of time and effort trying to bring the event here and worked very hard with the FEI driving committee.

“This is a great achievement, particularly after the success of the first World Combined Pony Championships in Austria this year.”
