Case adjourned for teenagers accused of shooting ponies

  • Two teenagers, accused of killing 2 Shetland ponies in Shropshire, have had their case adjourned until 27 August.

The 2 boys, aged 15 and 18, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday, 4 August, but were not asked to make a plea to any charges.

Shetland ponies Bill and Ben were found dead at a Edgeley House and Court care home in Whitchurch on 7 May 2008.

The pair face allegations of carrying a loaded gun in public and killing the ponies.
