Carriage driver targeted by thieves in Essex

  • A young carriage driver is appealing for information after thieves looted her entire tack room in Essex last weekend.

The stolen driving equipment, which included a Hartland pleasure carriage (pictured right), also had sentimental value as the girl inherited it from her late mentor, Sylvia Mactaggart.

The burglary occurred on East Road, East Mersea during the night of 21st September, and included four saddles, harnesses and bridles, as well as the carriage.

Essex police have taken fingerprints and removed a glove that was found at the scene.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts or has seen any of these items for sale, please contact Essex police on tel: 0300 333 4444 extension 10320, with reference E124B1680408.
