Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin to judge at HOYS

  • Olympic dressage gold-medallists Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin will be judging the two coveted supreme showing titles at this year’s Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).

The riders will be judging the Supreme Horse of the Year and Supreme Pony of the Year championships on 13 October at Birmingham’s NEC.

“We’re delighted that Carl and Charlotte will be judging for us this year,” said Helena Pettit of Grandstand Media, which organises HOYS.

“Their performance at the London Olympics inspired so many — it’s wonderful that they will be part of this year’s special 65th show.”

The championships are the culmination of the show and will be held as part of Sunday evening’s special gala performance.

Charlotte won the Show Pony of the Year title in 1997 with Ardenhall Royal Secret.

Tickets for this year’s show — which runs from 9-13 October —  are on sale now.
