An e-campaign has been launched by the Countryside Alliance (CA) in support of a private member’s bill to tackle the problem of abandoned, fly-grazed horses.
“We ask you to take part in the e-campaign to help highlight to MPs how serious this problem is,” said a CA press officer.
The private member’s bill would, if successful, make it easier for farmers and local authorities to deal with fly-grazing. It returns to the House of Commons in October (news, 24 July).
To take part go to www.countryside-alliance.org and click on campaigns and then communities, and enter your postcode.
A letter will then be automatically sent to your local MP.
