Burghley Horse Trials seeks good samaritan

  • The organisers of Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials are trying to trace a “good samaritan” who saved a spectator’s life on cross-country day (6 September).

At around 4pm on Saturday in Car Park 59 a lady helped a fellow visitor who was showing symptoms of having a heart attack.

The passer-by administered CPR, but left the scene when the ambulance crew arrived.

“The organisers would like to trace this good samaritan, she was instrumental in saving the life of the lady concerned, who is recovering in hospital,” said a spokesman from the event.

“They, and the lady’s family, would like her to get in touch so that they can thank her personally.”
