Bronze horse statue stolen from Addington Manor

  • Addington Manor Equestrian Centre in Buckingham is appealing for information after a lifesize bronze horse was stolen from their driveway overnight.

“The horse is about 15hh and welcomes people to Addington,” the equestrian centre’s Pippa Holt told H&H. “But we came out this morning and it was gone. Someone had sawn through its legs, just leaving the hooves.”

The statue is by an unknown sculptor and has not been valued.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “Investigations are ongoing.”

Currently the police have no leads and confirmed that there have been no similar incidents in the area recently.

Last year a bronze statue of a horse by sculptor Dame Elizabeth Frink valued at over £200,000 was stolen from the grounds of a house in Surrey.
