The 4 riders who will represent Britain in the team competition at the HSBC FEI Eventing European Championships in Malmö have been revealed, following the first horse inspection earlier today.
The team riders are:
Pippa Funnell riding Mrs Carol Toliver’s Mirage d’Elle
Lucy Wiegersma with Mr & Mrs Christopher Perkins’ Simon Porloe
Tina Cook riding Mrs Sarah Pelham and Mr & Mrs Nicolas Embiricos’s Miners Frolic
William Fox-Pitt with Mr Chris and Mrs Lisa Stone’s Chilli Morning
British individual
Izzy Taylor with Mr Guy Avis’s KBIS Briarlands Matilda will ride as an individual
Unfortunately the final member of the squad, Tom McEwan, will not be riding after his horse Diesel was eliminated at the first trot-up.
Competition gets underway on Thursday with the first of two days of dressage, followed by cross-country on Saturday and the final nail-biting showjumping rounds on Sunday.
